Smell This

My new favorite thing in the world is the Beach Sage fragrance from Method. I found the Aroma Ring refills at Big Lots a few weeks ago when I was searching for a way to combat the ever-present stink of cat pee that was invading my dreams. The Aroma Ring is a little refillable air freshener thingy that looks cool and makes just enough smell to make you smile, but not enough to make you gag. I put one in my bedroom to see if it was going to give my husband hives (he's allergic to many things) but it didn't bother him. It really does smell like the beach!
So I put an Aroma Pill (which is a plug in oil diffuser) in the living room, and now I have one in the dining room as well. The ones downstairs smell like Cut Grass. Today I found the Beach Sage oil refills at Big Lots, so I bought two of them and two Cut Grass ones for Keith cause he likes them. They last about a month.

Keith figured out that Nerfa was peeing on the floor because he was too big to comfortably get into the lidded cat box, so Keith got rid of the lid and things have been much better. I'm still going to have to replace the floor in the corner of the dining room, but that's OK.
Everybody is happier, now that I've discovered the joy of Home Fragrance Products. They have nice soy wax candles too. And when Big Lots runs out, I can order them online (for twice what I paid at the Lots, but that's not heinous considering I paid $2.50 for one refill!).

Such a small thing to brighten my day!

Congrats on combating the smell. I feel ya! (Just be cautious of the plug-in thingies... I've heard of them starting fires. I know, I know... 'yadda, yadda... shut up!' I get it!!) I'm just sayin'....

Hey! Here's a revelation for ya and worth EVERY FLIPPING PENNY of the 80 dollars I spent on it....
The automatic kitty litter pan. Yes, that's right! The self pooper scooper is a God in my book! It still doesnt fully elminate the duties that go along with our little feline friends, but the odor control and clean up duties are much more manageable.

I will check out the auto scoop! Never considered it before, but now that you mention it it might save us a lot of grief around here.

I used the auto kitty litter thingy for about a month, however if your kitties pee a lot it may not work for you. I changed my container every couple of days, but with the copious amount of urine, etc mine clogged and broke :(
