Camping Time

Attention Prospective Campers! ALDI has camping stuff this week! This is the tent we bought two years ago, and YOU CAN"T BEAT THE VALUE! Only $25, and it is easy to set up and take down, durable, and cute!


We also have two of their AdventureRidge sleeping bags, which are quite nice as well. For about $13 each, you can't go wrong. We have 2, and they do indeed zip together nicely. The only thing remotely troublesome about them is the slick outer surface, but almost every sleeping bag I've owned has a slick nylon outer shell. Once we got a flocked air mattress the slidy-around problems were reduced considerably. AND they are machine washable - although for longest life I suggest you take them to the laundrymat and do them in the big tumbler machine. Sleeping bags tend to get lumpy if you wash them in a central agitator machine.


Camp Chairs are also nice, and we have had these for about 4 years. One of them broke this spring, but for under $10 I can't really be too upset, that breaks down to $2.50 a year. Of course if you don't use them as porch furniture, you would probably get more wear out of them.
