LisaLisa

So I finished this scarf in plenty of time for Lisa's Birthday but didn't see her for like 2 weeks afterward. I gave it to her when she came by last Friday for Cookout. When she took it out of the bag, Delia piped up "My mom MADE that!" and I could tell that my daughter was proud of me. Lisa may not know what to do with a scarf in the middle of summer, but I thought it was a nice in between weight that would make a morning walk to work slightly more pleasant (it was 40 here this morning!) It is made of 100% cotton, Paton's Grace yarn, which is a new favorite for it's light weight and shiny smooth finish. I used the Lace Ribbon Scarf pattern by Veronik Avery from the Spring 2008 issue of Knitty.

It is rather difficult to photograph yourself in the mirror and not get a big splashy flash or the camera in the picture!

It took about 2 weeks of dogged knitting to get this one finished, but it was really fun and I sure hope she enjoys it.
